Although increasing the minimum wage will present challenges for my low profit margin, labor intensive business, and almost certainly require us to raise our prices in order to fund the increase, we strongly support an increase in minimum wage for all.

The Bay Area is an extremely expensive place to live and the current minimum wage does not allow low wage workers to survive here. I support raising the minimum wage to help promote economic justice and alleviate hunger in the community.

We all deserve a fair minimum wage and paid sick leave.

I move to Oakland on September 21st and am a veteran community organizer. I want to support this effort and also see it as a great way to get to know a lot of organizers and the political lay of the land. I’ll be in touch if I don’t hear from you first!
